Overview
This is a Disney branded changing pad measuring about 19 by 30 inches, built from polyester and PEVA, a waterproof vinyl backing. At just under 4 ounces, it is thin and light enough to fold into a diaper bag for changes away from home.
The PEVA layer is the detail worth noting: it is a waterproof, PVC free plastic commonly used on the underside of travel changing pads to keep moisture off whatever surface the pad sits on. Combined with a 0.25 inch profile and Disney character branding, this reads as a fold up travel changing mat rather than a full nursery changing pad topper. Parents should not expect the cushioning of a dedicated changing table pad.
- Disney character design
- Polyester and PEVA construction
- 19 in by 30 in, 0.25 in thick
- Weighs about 0.11 kilograms
Who it's for
Parents who need a light, foldable pad for changes in the car, at a relative's house or while traveling. Not a substitute for a padded changing table topper used for daily changes at home.
Pros and cons
- Waterproof PEVA backing
- Light enough to fold into a diaper bag
- Large surface at 19 by 30 inches
- Thin profile means minimal cushioning
- Not a replacement for a padded nursery changing pad
Performance notes
The waterproof PEVA backing is what keeps this pad useful in practice, since it stops moisture from reaching the surface underneath during a change. Its thin, light build (0.11 kilograms, 0.25 inches) makes it easy to fold and stash, though that same thinness means it offers little padding compared with a foam changing table pad.
