Overview
The Total Gym APEX G5 is an incline glide board home gym that uses body weight and adjustable resistance rather than free weights, rated for users up to 300 pounds and designed to fold flat for storage.
- Folds flat, 93 in x 43.25 in x 15.5 in in use
- Supports up to 300 lb user weight
- Steel frame glide board with auto lock height
- Includes squat stand, dip bars, and leg pull accessory
Who it's for
Suits anyone wanting a low impact, whole body workout at home that folds away, including people managing joint issues who find free weights harder on their body. Less suited to lifters chasing heavy load progression, since resistance here comes from incline and body weight, not stacked plates.
Pros and cons
- Switching between exercises takes more time than a traditional gym setup
- Included DVD and some accessories may not match the exact model shipped
- One buyer received a unit with a frayed cable at assembly
Performance notes
The steel frame and cables are reported as sturdy even for users well above 200 pounds.
