Overview
A rehearsal hall or a school band room is the setting this bassoon is aimed at. It has a maple wood body with a polished finish and silver plated keywork, in the key of C, and ships with a case.
The reason to consider it is the maple build and the warm tone the maker describes, with a modern style and a case supplied. The limitation is thin information, since the reed, size details and accessories are not spelled out.
Who it's for
Players who want a wooden bassoon in C for lessons or ensemble work will find the core details here. Younger players, who may struggle with the weight, and buyers who need an exact accessory list should check with the seller first.
Pros and cons
- Maple wood body
- Silver plated keys
- Warm, versatile sound
- Warranty entry unclear
- Weight is substantial for a young player
- Accessories named only in the title
Performance notes
The maple body shapes the warm tone, and the polished finish protects the wood. Key work and plating affect how smoothly the fingerings move. The reed, which the listing does not describe, shapes the response more than any other part.
