Overview
An 8-cup automatic rice cooker and steamer with a non-stick Xylan-coated inner pot, sized for a family of four or five who want a simple cook-and-keep-warm appliance without a large footprint.
The keep-warm function isn't built for long holds though, past a couple hours on warm and rice at the bottom can dry out.
- 8 cup capacity with steamer function
- 500W, 120V 60Hz rating
- Includes pot, spatula, measuring cup, manual
- Cool-touch round body design
Who it's for
Suits a household of four or five who wants straightforward daily rice with minimal buttons and easy cleanup. Not for anyone planning to hold rice on warm for many hours, or who wants clearly marked measurement lines.
Pros and cons
- Removable non-stick inner pot for easy cleanup
- Simple one-button cook and keep-warm operation
- Right-sized for a family of four or five
- Detachable cord for easy storage
- Measurement lines inside the pot are hard to read
- Rice can dry out after hours on warm
- One reviewer's power switch stopped staying engaged over time
Performance notes
The keep-warm setting works for short periods, but multiple hours on warm can dry out rice sitting at the bottom of the pot.
