Overview
Not a full length lawn rake, the Fiskars Xact is a hand rake for planters, flowerbeds and tight spots between plants. A stainless steel head with flexible tines works through tough soil, and a weighted SoftGrip handle balances the tool.
Rust resistance and tines that stay sharp make it a long term garden tool. The weighted handle improves control in close work. Its size limits it to beds and containers.
Who it's for
Home gardeners tidying soil and mulch around plants in small spaces. Anyone clearing a yard needs a long handled rake.
Pros and cons
- Stainless head resists rust
- Flexible tines for tough soil
- Weighted, balanced handle
- Several grip positions
- Small head covers little ground
- Hand use means kneeling
- Tine count unstated
Performance notes
Flexible tines bend around roots and stones instead of snagging, which helps in rocky or compacted soil. The weighted handle shifts balance back toward the hand for control. Stainless steel resists rust from wet soil.
