Overview
A 50-count pack of size #1 octopus-style fishing hooks from Reaction, built in high carbon steel with a black finish and aimed at bass fishing.
Octopus hooks pair a short shank with a wide gap, a shape anglers reach for when rigging live bait or soft plastics on a light leader. This pack gives you 50 hooks in one size and finish, enough for a season of bait changes without reordering mid-trip.
- Size #1 octopus hook shape
- High carbon steel, black finish
- 50 hooks per pack
- Built for bass fishing
Who it's for
Suited to bass anglers who fish live bait or soft plastic rigs and go through hooks quickly. Anyone needing a different size, gap, or finish should look elsewhere since this pack ships in #1 black only.
Pros and cons
- High carbon steel construction
- 50 hooks per pack for repeated re-rigging
- Wide gap suits live bait and soft plastic presentations
- Only one size and color offered
- No stated barb or eye style
Performance notes
The short shank and wide gap of an octopus hook let bait sit naturally on the point without excess metal showing, which matters for finicky bass. High carbon steel holds an edge and keeps the point sharp through repeated hooksets, though like any bare steel hook it should be dried and stored properly to avoid rust.
