Rawblue Portable Digital TV 7 Inch

Overview

Not a wall-mounted television, a compact portable set that runs on its own rechargeable battery or from a mains adapter. A built-in ATSC tuner pulls in digital broadcasts through the included antenna, while a USB port or TF card feeds stored video to the screen. Stereo speakers and an earphone socket handle sound without extra gear.

Useful when a screen has to move between rooms or ride along in a vehicle, because the tuner, battery and media player live in one body. The trade is picture quality and runtime: the panel is small and the battery is modest, so it suits news, cartoons and short clips more than movie nights.

Who it's for

Campers, drivers and cooks who want a screen that works away from an outlet and can play files from a card or stick. Skip it for a main living room television, where the small panel and short battery life will disappoint.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Picture quality comes from the ATSC tuner and the panel resolution, so over-the-air channels look their sharpest while stored files vary with their own encoding. Runtime depends on the battery charge and screen brightness, and the antenna position decides how many channels the tuner can lock.
