Overview
Not a built-in head unit, the SiriusXM Tour is a dock-and-play radio with a touchscreen. It combines satellite reception with internet streaming and sends audio to a vehicle stereo or speaker through Bluetooth, aux, line out or FM.
Both satellite channels and internet-only content are available through one unit, and the dock supplies power in the car. The limitation is the short warranty and a listing that never says what service plan is needed to hear anything.
Who it's for
Drivers who want SiriusXM in a car or at home and are happy to connect by aux, line out, FM or Bluetooth. Those who want a permanent dash install, or a plan-free radio, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Satellite and internet content
- Multiple connection options
- Vehicle dock supplied
- Subscription needs not stated
- Short ninety day warranty
- Voltage and frequency rows look unreliable
Performance notes
Satellite reception needs a clear view of the sky while internet streaming needs a data connection, so reliability depends on both. Sound quality depends on the connection used, and FM transmission varies with local interference.
