Overview
Trim and edge work is where the Worx WX696L earns its keep, a 2.8 pound compact router built for one-handed control. Power source and bit compatibility are not detailed in the available listing data.
At under 3 pounds, this router is built for one-handed maneuvering on trim and edge cuts rather than deep plunge routing, which is the typical role for compact routers in this weight class.
- 2.8 pound item weight
- Compact router format
Who it's for
Suits DIYers and hobbyists doing laminate trimming, edge profiling or light detail work. Not sized for cabinet-grade plunge routing or heavy stock removal.
Pros and cons
- 2.8 pounds for easy one-handed control
- Sized for trim and edge work, not heavy routing
- Power source and voltage not specified in the listing
- Not built for deep plunge or heavy stock removal
Performance notes
Lower weight compact routers trade routing depth and power for easier one-handed control, which suits trim work but limits them on thicker stock or continuous heavy use.
