Overview
Not a countertop unit despite the label, the SPT SD-6513W is a full-width portable dishwasher that stands on the floor and connects to the kitchen faucet with a quick connect fitting. Two pull-out racks hold the load, and the tub inside is stainless steel.
Renters and anyone without a dishwasher cutout get a full-size wash load with no plumbing work, since the unit draws water from the faucet. Its weak spot is the listing itself, which states the cycle count two different ways and calls the unit both white and stainless steel.
Who it's for
Kitchens with floor space near the sink but no built-in cabinet opening suit this unit, since it runs off the faucet. Households that want a compact countertop machine or a permanently plumbed install should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Full-size rack space for family loads
- Faucet hookup avoids permanent plumbing
- Stainless steel interior tub
- Delay start timer for off-hours washing
- Too tall and heavy for a countertop
- Cycle count listed as both six and ten
- Color listed as white, title says stainless
- Warranty limited to one year
Performance notes
Wash results depend on loading both pull-out racks so spray reaches each dish, and on the faucet supplying steady water through the quick connect. The sound reduction system and the stainless tub govern how much noise escapes the cabinet. Delay start lets you shift runs to quiet hours.
