Overview
The Icepure RWF4700AC is an NSF certified refrigerator style water filter cartridge sold in a 4-pack, built with a carbon fiber filtering element. It suits households replacing filters on a recurring schedule who want dual certification, NSF/ANSI 42 and 372, on record.
Icepure builds filters marketed as replacements for major refrigerator brands, though this listing does not name which fridge models the RWF4700AC fits. The dual NSF/ANSI 42 and 372 certification covers both taste and odor reduction and material safety, a more complete certification pairing than a single standard filter.
- NSF/ANSI 42 and 372 certified
- 4 filters per pack
- Carbon fiber material
- 1.9 lb weight
Who it's for
Buyers who have matched the RWF4700AC part number to their refrigerator's original filter and want a four unit supply for a year or more of swaps. Not for anyone who has not confirmed fit first, since no compatibility chart is given here.
Pros and cons
- Dual NSF/ANSI 42 and 372 certification
- 4-pack covers roughly a year of swaps for typical households
- Carbon fiber filtering media
- No named list of compatible refrigerator models
- No review text available
- Heavier cartridge may not fit slimmer filter housings
Performance notes
NSF/ANSI 42 certification covers reduction of chlorine taste and odor, while NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 addresses lead free material compliance, so this cartridge has been tested on two separate fronts rather than one. At 1.9 lb for the carbon fiber element, it is built more substantially than the smallest point of use cartridges.
