Overview
Purple Leaf's 10 x 12 foot pergola pairs a powder-coated aluminum frame with a polyester canopy that slides open and closed, built for adjustable shade over a patio, deck or pool area.
Assembly is typically a two-person job that runs a few hours, though it stretched to about 8 hours for at least one older couple.
- 10 x 12 foot retractable, sliding polyester canopy
- Powder-coated aluminum frame
- Adjustable shade with a locking system
- Built for patio, deck or poolside use
Who it's for
Patio, deck or poolside owners who want adjustable, retractable shade rather than a fixed roof. Less suited to buyers who want no assembly required or hardware that fits without any fuss straight out of the box.
Pros and cons
- Retractable canopy sheds rainwater by design
- Customer service replaced broken or missing parts at no cost in at least one case
- Base design frustrated more than one reviewer
- Some hardware, including labeled screws, did not fit as expected
- Curtains rated lower quality than the rest of the structure
- Assembly can run several hours, longer for less experienced builders
Performance notes
The powder-coated aluminum frame is built for weather exposure, and a locking system holds the polyester canopy open or closed as it slides along the frame.
