Overview
A 14-hook aluminum crochet set spanning 2.0mm to 10.0mm, built with wider ergonomic handles for people who find thin metal hooks tiring to hold. Each hook is 5.9 inches long and marked with its size on the handle for quick identification.
The size range covers everything from fine lace work up to bulky yarn, so it works as a single starter set rather than needing separate purchases per project. The molded handle over the aluminum shaft, not bare metal, is the actual reason arthritic or stiff hands find these easier to hold for long sessions.
- 14 hooks, 2.0mm to 10.0mm
- 5.9 inch overall length per hook
- Aluminum shaft with ergonomic handle
- Size printed on each handle
Who it's for
Suits beginners assembling a first hook set and anyone who finds bare aluminum or steel hooks uncomfortable to grip for long stretches. Less useful for someone who already has a favorite hook brand and only needs a specific size.
Pros and cons
- Covers 14 hook sizes, 2.0mm to 10.0mm
- Wider molded handle over the metal shaft
- Size marked on each handle for quick identification
- No case or organizer included with the set
- Tip finish and material rely on seller's claims
Performance notes
The hooks are aluminum with a molded plastic handle rather than solid metal end to end, which is what gives the wider grip. The seller claims a smooth, polished tip that avoids snagging or splitting yarn, but that finish isn't independently confirmed across all 14 sizes, so treat it as a starting expectation.
