Overview
A portrait-oriented camera with a tall vertical field of view watches the entire doorway area in this Alarm.com doorbell. Two-way audio and motion alerts run through the app, and infrared lighting covers night views.
Alarm.com focuses on full-doorway coverage, with the tall view framing visitors in portrait. The listing is unclear on power, naming battery operation with a short battery life figure, and it says nothing about wiring or a service plan.
Who it's for
Households that want a doorbell built around a tall, full-doorway view and two-way talk get it here. Shoppers who need clear power, wiring and plan details before buying will find this listing too vague.
Pros and cons
- Tall portrait view of the doorway
- Infrared night vision
- Compact, light housing
- Power details unclear in the listing
- Service plan requirements not listed
- Zoom is digital only
Performance notes
Image coverage comes from the tall vertical view, which captures the full doorway in portrait. Infrared LEDs light the scene at night out to the listed range, and motion detection triggers real-time notifications. Digital zoom crops the image rather than adding optical detail.
