Overview
A lesson room or a section rehearsal is where this oboe belongs. It has an ebony wood body, silver plated keys, a polished finish and a semi-automatic system in the key of C.
The reason to look at it is the ebony body with plating in the French style, plus accessories for daily care. The limitation is that reeds, swab and thumb rest are named only in the heading, and no dimensions are given.
Who it's for
Players moving up to an ebony instrument will find the core spec set here. Buyers who need exact box contents, or a different key system, should ask the seller before ordering.
Pros and cons
- Ebony wood body
- Silver plated keys
- Cleaning cloth and gloves
- Extras differ between title and specs
- Semi-automatic system only
Performance notes
The ebony body shapes the tone and resists changes in moisture. The reed, which the title says comes as a pair, matters more to response than the body. Semi-automatic keywork changes how some octave fingerings work compared with a fully automatic design.
