Our verdict

A multi-stage Chicco seat with a 50-pound weight capacity and dual LATCH or seat belt installation, worth checking against your vehicle's own LATCH anchor spacing before buying.

Overview

This Chicco car seat is rated for an age range spanning infant through kid, with a 50-pound weight capacity, and installs using either LATCH or a vehicle seat belt; the seat itself weighs 24.9 pounds.

The age range listed spans infant, newborn, toddler and kid, which points to a seat meant to grow with a child rather than a rear-facing-only infant carrier. Chicco does not specify the exact model line here, so confirm the stage configuration against the product page before buying.

Weight capacity up to 50 pounds
LATCH or seat belt install
24.9-pound seat weight
Covers infant through kid ages

Who it's for

Suits parents wanting one seat that covers multiple growth stages instead of buying separate infant and toddler seats. Less useful if you specifically need a lightweight infant-only carrier for stroller travel systems.

Pros and cons

Pros

Covers infant through kid age range
50-pound weight capacity
LATCH or seat belt installation

Cons

At nearly 25 pounds it is not a lightweight carrier
Exact stage configuration not detailed in this listing

Performance notes

Installation goes in through LATCH or the vehicle's own seat belt, giving flexibility across different cars. At 24.9 pounds the seat itself is on the heavier side, which trades portability for the higher 50-pound weight capacity.
