Overview
DeWalt's DCE800B runs on the 20V MAX battery platform and ships as a bare tool weighing 8.59 pounds, no battery or charger included.
Selling as a bare tool ties this sander directly to the wider DeWalt 20V MAX ecosystem, a detail worth noting before ordering since no battery ships with it. At 8.59 pounds it is not the lightest cordless sander on the market, a tradeoff for running on a shared battery platform.
- 20V MAX battery powered
- Bare tool, no battery included
- 8.59 lb weight
Who it's for
Suits owners of DeWalt's 20V MAX battery system who want a cordless sander without buying a new battery pack. Not a fit for buyers without compatible DeWalt batteries already on hand, since none ships with this bare tool.
Pros and cons
- Shares batteries with DeWalt 20V MAX lineup
- Cordless mobility suits overhead work
- Sold bare, no battery included
- 8.59 lbs, heavier for overhead use
Performance notes
Running on the 20V MAX platform gives cordless mobility for overhead or ladder work where a cord would be awkward, at a tool-only weight of 8.59 pounds. Since it ships bare, actual runtime depends on whatever DeWalt 20V MAX battery the owner pairs with it.
