Overview
A 10.6 ounce pack of chicken-wrapped beef tendon braid chews for medium to large dogs, formulated without rawhide and containing glucosamine aimed at hip and joint support.
The braid construction and beef tendon base are positioned as a rawhide-free alternative, with glucosamine added specifically for joint support rather than as a plain chew. Chew duration is not fixed by the manufacturer, since the directions note it varies by the dog's size, breed and chewing style, so supervision is called for. The breed recommendation on the label leans toward large breeds despite the title also mentioning medium dogs.
- 10.6 oz pack, chicken-wrapped beef tendon
- Rawhide-free formula
- Glucosamine for hip and joint support
- Recommended for large breeds
Who it's for
Owners of medium to large dogs looking for a rawhide-free chew with added glucosamine for joint support fit this product. Owners of small dogs, or those wanting an unsupervised long-duration chew, should look elsewhere given the size recommendation and supervision note.
Pros and cons
- Glucosamine included for joint support
- Chicken-wrapped for palatability
- 10.6 oz single pack size
- Manufacturer notes chew duration is unpredictable
- Requires supervision per the directions
Performance notes
The chew is constructed as a braided beef tendon wrapped in chicken, giving it a denser texture than typical rawhide, with glucosamine included in the formula for hip and joint support rather than relying on the chewing action alone. The manufacturer's own directions call for supervision since how long a chew lasts depends on the individual dog.
