Overview
A bedroom practice corner or a school music room suits the RockJam kit, a full size steel-string guitar packed with a folding stand, clip-on tuner and gig bag. Lessons walk a beginner through chords, strumming and first songs.
A complete kit means a new player can tune up and start the first lesson on day one. All-basswood construction gives a light build with a modest voice that a growing player will outgrow.
Who it's for
Adults and older students starting guitar get a full size instrument with all the gear. Small children or players who want warm nylon tone should choose a classical guitar.
Pros and cons
- Complete starter kit
- Folding stand included
- Clip-on tuner included
- Spare strings included
- Basswood limits tone
- Steel strings hurt new fingers
- Hi-gloss shows fingerprints
Performance notes
Steel strings ring brighter and louder than nylon but press harder on fingertips during the first weeks. Basswood makes the body light but gives a modest projection. Metal gearheads hold tuning steadily between practice sessions.
