Overview
The COMFEE' CVP30W6AST is a 30 inch wall mount range hood rated at 450 CFM, with a 3 speed fan, two LED lights and washable 5 layer aluminum filters. It ducts through a 6 inch outlet or converts to ductless with a separately sold carbon filter kit.
It's built for kitchens with an existing 6 inch duct opening rather than a full remodel, and the stainless finish and adjustable chimney are meant to fit standard cabinet openings.
- 450 CFM at top fan speed
- 5-layer aluminum filters, dishwasher safe
- Two built-in LED lights
- Converts to ductless with add-on carbon filter kit
Who it's for
This suits homeowners or renovators with an existing 6 inch duct opening who want strong exhaust power at a mid-range price. Anyone sensitive to fan noise, or without cabinet clearance for a 30 inch hood, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Strong suction even at lower fan speeds
- Filters are dishwasher-safe reusable aluminum
- Adjustable chimney fits varied ceiling heights
- Fan is loud at maximum speed
- A few units arrived with dented corners
- Ductless use needs a separate carbon filter kit
Performance notes
The 3 speed fan tops out at 450 CFM through a 6 inch round duct, and the chimney adjusts from 26.4 to 35.8 inches to fit different ceiling heights. The 5 layer aluminum filters unclip for dishwasher cleaning. Converting to ductless requires buying the Comfee 2 pack carbon filter kit separately, since it isn't included.
