Overview
A handheld grill grate cleaning tool with a contoured plastic handle and a replaceable scrubbing pad, sold with two spare pads for when the first wears out. It is meant to be used on a hot grate and pairs with a separate grate cleaner spray for tougher grime.
This is a manual scrubber, not a wire brush, aimed at owners who have moved away from metal bristles for safety reasons. The pad attaches to the handle by pressure alone, and how firmly it is seated on first use turns out to matter more than anything else about how well it performs afterward. Weber recommends pairing it with its Grate Grill Cleaner spray for stuck-on grime.
- Bristle-free scrubbing pad design
- Includes 3 replaceable pads total
- Contoured grip handle
- Pairs with Weber Grate Grill Cleaner spray
Who it's for
Suits grill owners who want a bristle-free way to scrub down grates and are willing to take a minute to properly seat a fresh pad. Less suited to anyone wanting a long-handled brush for reaching a hot grate without gloves.
Pros and cons
- No metal bristles to shed into the grate
- Comes with two spare pads
- Contoured handle is comfortable to grip
- Works well paired with a grate cleaner spray
- Pad can separate from the handle during use
- Short handle means quick bursts near a hot grate
- Needs firm pressure to seat a new pad before first use
Performance notes
Cleaning comes down to the pad staying seated on the handle.
