Overview
The Diono 32060 is a forward-facing car seat rated to a notably high 120-pound weight capacity, installed using the vehicle's seat belt rather than a LATCH system, and weighing just 6.13 pounds, light for this category.
The 120-pound capacity paired with a 6.13-pound shell points to this being a booster-style seat rather than a full harnessed seat, that combination of high weight rating and low item weight is typical of backless or highback boosters that rely on the vehicle's own belt to restrain the child. It is forward-facing only, so it won't serve as a rear-facing option for younger kids.
- 120-pound weight capacity
- Forward-facing only
- Seat belt installation
- 6.13-pound shell weight
Who it's for
Parents transitioning a child into a booster stage who need a forward-facing, seat belt-installed option rated well past typical harnessed seat limits, are the fit.
Pros and cons
- 120-pound weight capacity, well past standard harnessed seat limits
- Lightweight at 6.13 pounds, easy to move between vehicles
- Seat belt installation works without LATCH anchors
- Forward-facing only, not usable for rear-facing needs
- Plastic build with no listed padding or fabric details
Performance notes
At 6.13 pounds, the plastic shell is light enough to move between cars easily, and seat belt-only installation means no dependence on LATCH anchor availability, useful in vehicles with limited or occupied LATCH positions.
