Overview
Folding flat for storage under a bed or in a small trunk, the Golden Buzzaround Carry On is a four-wheel travel scooter that splits into two pieces without wires. It runs on a lithium-ion pack with an adjustable tiller, flip-back armrests and front and rear lights.
A very low folded height and a high weight capacity are a rare mix in a travel scooter. Lithium power gives a useful range per charge. The ride is basic: no suspension, a fixed-height seat and a gentle top speed.
Who it's for
Suited to people who drive to destinations and need a scooter that packs into small spaces. Riders who want a padded high-back seat or a smoother ride over rough ground should look at a larger model.
Pros and cons
- Folds flat, fits under most beds
- High weight capacity
- Lithium-ion battery, long range
- Front and rear lights
- Seat height not adjustable
- Travel battery pack sold separately
- Heaviest piece still a lift
Performance notes
Rear-wheel drive and small wheels suit pavement and indoor floors, but the lack of suspension passes bumps to the rider. Range depends on rider weight and terrain, and electro-mechanical brakes engage when the throttle is released.
