Overview
Six 15.4 oz hanging bags of DampRid's calcium chloride crystals, built to pull excess moisture from the air in a closet or laundry room while a lavender vanilla scent releases over the same period. Non-electric and disposable once spent.
This is a passive, no-power product: hang a bag and the crystals do the work, with nothing to plug in and no tank to check. A single bag lasts up to 60 days depending on the room's temperature and humidity, after which the collected liquid needs pouring out and the bag replaced.
- 15.4 oz per bag, 6-pack
- Lasts up to 60 days per bag
- Time-release lavender vanilla fragrance
- No electricity or batteries needed
Who it's for
Suited to closets, mudrooms, laundry rooms, dorm rooms and bathrooms where musty odor keeps coming back in a space with limited airflow. Not a fit for anyone trying to dry out a whole room, since a hanging bag only treats the air right around it.
Pros and cons
- No electricity or batteries required
- Releases lavender vanilla scent for the bag's full life
- Six-pack covers several closets or rooms at once
- Simple hang-and-forget setup
- Needs replacing roughly every 1-2 months
- Scent may be too strong in a small enclosed space
- Liquid has to be poured out and disposed of by hand
Performance notes
The crystals inside each bag attract moisture from the surrounding air, and the collected liquid becomes visible at the bottom of the bag as it fills. Time-release fragrance technology keeps the lavender vanilla scent going for the bag's full working life, which runs up to 60 days depending on ambient humidity and temperature. Once the liquid reaches the replacement line, the bag is discarded and swapped for a fresh one.
