Overview
Families who want one TV for movies, sports and PlayStation get a full-array LED set with local dimming and Sony's Cognitive Processor. Google TV gathers apps, AirPlay streams from Apple devices, and a game menu puts settings in one place.
Full-array dimming gives deeper contrast than edge-lit LEDs while staying bright for daytime viewing. OLED still beats it on pure black in a dark room.
Who it's for
Households watching sports and games in bright rooms get punchy contrast and gaming features. Dedicated dark-room viewers may prefer OLED.
Pros and cons
- Full-array local dimming
- Low input lag
- HDMI gaming features
- Dolby Vision and Atmos
- Not OLED black levels
- Older Bluetooth version
- Mount not included
Performance notes
Zones of backlight dim and brighten independently, which raises contrast and limits glow around bright objects. The XR processor balances brightness and color across the frame. Variable refresh and auto low latency mode handle console gaming.
