Overview
A 6,000 BTU window air conditioner rated to cool up to 250 sq ft, controlled through the Windmill app or voice assistants alongside onboard controls. It includes double-insulating side panels and a pre-assembled install kit.
Windmill positions this as a smart window unit first: app and voice control sit alongside 3 cooling settings and 3 fan speeds rather than being an afterthought. The double-insulating side panels are meant to both seal out drafts and cut down on the rattle typical of cheaper window units.
- 6,000 BTU, up to 250 sq ft coverage
- App and voice control
- Double-insulating side panels
- 3 cooling settings, 3 fan speeds
Who it's for
Suits a bedroom or living space up to about 250 sq ft where app or voice control of the AC gets used, and where a no-tools install matters. Less relevant if a simple mechanical-dial unit is preferred.
Pros and cons
- Cools up to 250 sq ft
- App and voice control alongside onboard controls
- No-tools install kit
- Dual filtration with optional carbon filter
- Smart features depend on the Windmill app and a stable connection
Performance notes
The install kit ships pre-assembled so the unit goes into the window frame without extra tools, and the double-insulating side panels are meant to block outside noise and drafts around the edges. Dual filtration pairs a washable mesh filter with an optional activated carbon filter for odor control.
