Last refreshed Aug 4, 2026 · Based on the Amazon listing and published specifications, not hands-on testing.
The specs describe a 10-amp corded wet/dry vacuum, not a specialty hand tool as the category suggests, so buyers should shop it against other shop vacs rather than by its listed category.

Overview
The DEWALT DXV10PZ is a corded wet/dry shop vacuum despite being filed under Tools' Specialties category. It runs on a 120-volt, 10-amp, 1200-watt motor and weighs 23.2 pounds, with the unit measuring about 18 by 17.5 by 23 inches.
Category labels in this catalog occasionally mismatch, and this is one of those cases: the electrical specs point clearly to a shop vacuum, not a specialty hand tool. At 23.2 pounds it's built to sit on a shop floor or job site rather than get carried around all day.
- 120 volt, 10 amp corded motor
- 1200 watt motor power
- 23.2 pound unit weight
- Approx. 18 x 17.5 x 23 inches
Who it's for
Fits shops and job sites that need a corded vacuum for wet and dry debris pickup and have floor space for a roughly 18 by 23 inch unit. Not a fit for anyone expecting a lightweight hand tool from the Specialties label.
Pros and cons
- 1200-watt motor for continuous suction
- Handles both wet and dry debris by design
- Corded power avoids battery runtime limits
- 23.2 pounds and a roughly 23-inch height limit portability
- Filed under Specialties rather than vacuums, so it's easy to miss while browsing
Performance notes
A 10-amp, 1200-watt corded motor is enough to drive continuous suction for wet and dry pickup, and the 23.2-pound weight with an 18 by 17.5 by 23 inch footprint suggests a stationary or wheeled shop unit rather than a portable one.
