Overview
Alesis packages the Recital as a beginner digital piano with a full set of keys, a small set of voices and a pair of headphones. Built-in speakers play the sound, and the title mentions piano lessons.
The reason to look at it is the all-in-one setup, with speakers for the room and headphones for night practice. The limitation is that the keys are semi-weighted rather than fully weighted, and the physical details are missing.
Who it's for
Adult beginners and students who want a simple, all-in-one practice instrument will find the package practical. Advanced pianists who expect full hammer action, or who need exact dimensions, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Full key count
- Lessons mentioned in the title
- Keys are semi-weighted
- Weight and dimensions absent
- Warranty not stated
Performance notes
Touch-sensitive keys respond to how hard they are struck, and the semi-weighted action adds some resistance without the full hammer feel. Only five voices are on offer, which limits the sound choices. The headphone jack allows private practice, and the RCA connector sends audio to an outside system.
