Overview
Not a stick that hides behind the TV, this BuzzTV unit is a box-style Android media hub in a triple-anodized aluminum case that sheds heat. It connects to the television over HDMI and to the network over Wi-Fi, with a remote for control.
Memory and storage are the reason to look at it: room for many apps and fast switching between them. The aluminum case is built to manage heat during long viewing. The limits are thin detail on HDR formats, audio passthrough, ports and supported streaming services.
Who it's for
Households that sideload or run many Android apps get ample storage and memory in a sturdy case. Viewers relying on a particular streaming service or Dolby formats should confirm support before buying.
Pros and cons
- Generous RAM for multitasking
- Large internal storage for apps
- Aluminum case aids heat dissipation
- 4K output over HDMI
- Supported apps beyond YouTube not listed
- HDR and audio formats not stated
- Port count not described
- Wi-Fi only, wired network not mentioned
Performance notes
App responsiveness comes from the memory, which holds several apps open without reloading them. Storage size decides how many apps and downloads fit before cleanup. The aluminum housing pulls heat away from the internals, which helps avoid slowdowns during long sessions.
