Overview
Carbon media inside this GE cartridge traps sediment and impurities as water passes through. It is a genuine OEM part that replaces the GXRLQR and GXSTQR cartridges in compatible GE units.
Being an OEM part removes fit doubt for owners of the listed systems. Filter life and flow rate are not stated.
Who it's for
GE owners replacing a worn cartridge get the matching genuine part. Owners of other brands need their own filter.
Pros and cons
- Genuine GE OEM part
- Replaces two older part numbers
- Sediment and impurity reduction
- Filter life not listed
- Fit limited to some GE units
- Flow rate not stated
Performance notes
Water flows through carbon media that captures sediment and adsorbs impurities. Reduction drops as the media fills, so timely replacement matters. Flushing a new cartridge clears loose carbon fines.
