Overview
A 9-foot carbon fiber fly fishing rod offered in 5/6wt and 7/8wt builds, light action, aimed at bass, carp, salmon and trout.
The category label lists this under general fishing rods, but the fly line weight sizing and light action point to a fly rod rather than a spinning or casting blank. Choosing between the 5/6wt and 7/8wt version matters more than any other spec here.
- 9-foot carbon fiber fly rod
- Available in 5/6wt and 7/8wt
- Light action
- Targets trout, bass, carp and salmon
Who it's for
Fly anglers who want a 9-foot rod in either 5/6wt or 7/8wt for freshwater species like trout, bass, carp or salmon. Not a spinning or casting rod.
Pros and cons
- Carbon fiber blank keeps weight down
- Two line weight options cover different species
- Light action suits delicate presentations
- Buyers need to pick the correct line weight version for their target species
Performance notes
Built on a 9-foot carbon fiber blank weighing roughly 0.15 kilograms, it ships in two line weight builds: 5/6wt for trout-sized fish and lighter presentations, and 7/8wt for larger targets like bass, carp or salmon. Picking the correct version for your species matters more than the rod's other specs.
