Overview
Streaming free live channels and apps from one home screen is the core of this TCL Roku TV, a small LED set with the Roku platform built in. It stands on the included feet or mounts on a wall with a small VESA bracket.
Roku's simple home screen puts streaming apps, broadcast TV and connected devices side by side, and the remote has a short, simple button layout. At HD resolution, it suits smaller rooms and casual viewing rather than detailed movie watching.
Who it's for
Students and households adding a second TV for casual shows, news and kids' content. Gamers and movie fans who care about detail should step up to a higher resolution set.
Pros and cons
- Roku platform built in
- Free live TV channel guide
- Three HDMI inputs
- Wall mount ready
- HD 720p only
- 60 Hz panel limits motion
Performance notes
Picture sharpness is set by the HD panel, which looks fine from across a small room but soft up close. Streaming smoothness depends on the home Wi-Fi signal since the set connects wirelessly. The small stereo speakers handle dialogue, and the audio output port allows an external speaker.
