Overview
A-Premium supplies the APCON172 as a replacement A/C condenser for Chevrolet and GMC vehicles. It is the finned heat exchanger that cools compressed refrigerant, and it arrives as a single unit.
With a long run of GM interchange numbers, the APCON172 is easy to check against an original. The part is large and heavy for a condenser, so the listed package size matters for shipping and handling. Model years are not listed.
Who it's for
Owners and shops replacing a damaged condenser on a Chevrolet or GMC who have the old unit to compare. Anyone without a part number has no model data in the listing to lean on.
Pros and cons
- Long list of GM cross-reference numbers
- Chevrolet and GMC named
- Direct replacement part
- Package size listed for planning
- Model years not listed
- Large and heavy to handle
- Included hardware not described
- Core details not given
Performance notes
Airflow across the finned core carries heat away from the refrigerant, so the condenser works best with a clear front end and a working fan. A new core fixes a leak or crushed fins but does not repair other faults in the system.

Frequently asked questions
How do I keep the A-Premium APCON172 condenser working well?
The listing has no care steps. In general a condenser needs clear fins and airflow, so keep debris out of the front of the core and have the system checked if cooling drops.
Which Chevrolet and GMC models does the APCON172 fit?
The listing names the makes and GM part numbers like 23141861 and 84496856, not models or years. Match the number on your old condenser.
Does the APCON172 include mounting hardware?
Nothing of the kind is listed, so it should not be assumed.
