Overview
A stainless steel and plastic spinning reel from Piscifun's BRL series, running an 8.1:1 gear ratio in a right-hand retrieve and grey finish. It weighs 6.75 ounces, putting it in the light end of spinning tackle.
The 8.1:1 gear ratio is fast for a spinning reel, better suited to techniques that reward quick line pickup, like working topwater baits, than to grinding power for deep cranking. The retrieve side is fixed to right hand on this listing.
- 8.1:1 gear ratio
- 6.75 oz stainless steel and plastic build
- Right-hand retrieve
- Grey finish
Who it's for
Anglers running fast-retrieve or finesse techniques on light spinning rods who want a reel under 7 ounces. Not for anglers who need a left-hand retrieve, since this listing is right-hand only.
Pros and cons
- Light body at 6.75 ounces
- Fast 8.1:1 retrieve ratio
- Stainless steel wear parts
- Right-hand retrieve only, no left-hand option listed
- Single grey colorway
- No drag weight or line capacity specified
Performance notes
The stainless steel and plastic build keeps weight to 6.75 ounces, and the 8.1:1 ratio moves a lot of line per handle turn, so hook sets on fast-moving fish take less reeling to catch up.
