Overview
The Eastern Bikes Growler LTD is a 26 inch BMX-style cruiser with a full chromoly frame and fork and mechanical disc brakes, built for a smooth street ride rather than tricks or jumps.
Eastern sizes the Growler up from a standard BMX into a big cruiser body, and it is also sold in a Limited 26 inch and a 29 inch version. Eastern is explicit that this bike is not intended for tricks or jumping, which matters given the BMX-cruiser look draws that crowd.
- Full chromoly frame and fork
- 3-piece tubular heat-treated chromoly cranks
- Eastern Maxum alloy 36T sprocket
- Mechanical disc brakes
Who it's for
Riders who want a stylish chromoly cruiser for street riding rather than park or trick use. Not the choice for anyone planning to jump or grind it, since Eastern says so directly.
Pros and cons
- Full chromoly frame and fork for durability
- Mechanical disc brakes
Performance notes
The full chromoly frame and fork pair with 3-piece tubular heat-treated chromoly cranks and a 36T alloy sprocket for the drivetrain, while mechanical disc brakes handle stopping. Eastern Riblet grips and Atom pedals round out the touchpoints.
