Overview
A 9.4 inch fish gripper built from nylon and glass fiber composite, with tooth-shaped locking jaws and a built-in mouth opener for one-handed use. Rated to hold up to 110 lbs and includes a wrist lanyard, meant for landing and releasing fish in fresh or saltwater without handling them directly.
The jaw design combines a mouth-opening tip with a locking grip, aimed at controlling a fish one-handed rather than needing a second tool to pry the mouth open first.
- 9.4 inch length with tooth-shaped locking jaws
- Built-in fish mouth opener
- 110 lb rated load capacity
- 70% nylon, 30% glass fiber anti-corrosion construction
Who it's for
Suits anglers who want to land and release fish without touching them, particularly kayak anglers who need a compact, lanyard-attached tool within reach. Not a fit for anyone targeting fish well above the stated 110 lb rating.
Pros and cons
- Built-in mouth opener allows one-handed use
- Works in both freshwater and saltwater
- Wrist lanyard keeps the tool from being lost overboard
- Plastic composite construction rather than metal
Performance notes
The tooth-shaped jaws lock shut when squeezed, and the built-in mouth opener is meant to let you get the gripper into a fish's mouth without a separate tool. The nylon and glass fiber body is rated to hold up to 110 lbs, and the wrist lanyard keeps it tethered so it doesn't go overboard between uses.
