Overview
The Jorgensen 99224 is a corded router weighing 4.66 pounds, sized for handheld routing work rather than a fixed table setup.
With no battery involved, output does not fade over a job the way a cordless unit can, and the light weight keeps one handed control manageable on edge and groove work. The listing does not break out horsepower, collet size, or included bits, so match those details against your project before ordering.
- 4.66 lb handheld weight
- Corded electric, no battery
- Router category for edge and groove work
- Compact build for one handed use
Who it's for
Fits someone doing woodworking edge profiles, dadoes, or trim work who wants a compact corded router rather than a heavier plunge or table mounted unit. Less suited to production shop work needing variable speed or a table mount, since neither is confirmed here.
Pros and cons
- Under 5 lb weight for one handed control
- Corded design avoids battery charge management
- Sized for handheld edge and trim work
- Horsepower and collet size not listed
- No table mounting confirmed
- Bit compatibility not specified
Performance notes
At 4.66 pounds, the router sits well under the weight of most fixed base routers, which reduces arm fatigue on longer runs. Being corded, with no battery, means consistent power delivery through the cut.
