Overview
American Tourister's 4 KIX 2.0 in the 28 inch spinner size, an expandable softside case pitched at trips of six days or longer rather than a carry on.
An ergonomic, carbon fiber textured trolley grip adjusts to the user, and four ball bearing spinner wheels are described as wear and tear tested for stability. The shell is rugged polyester with carbon fiber trim and gunmetal hardware, and the compartment expands for extra packing room. No exact weight or interior pocket layout is given in the listing data.
- 28 inch large spinner sized for 6+ day trips
- Expandable softside main compartment
- Wear tested ball bearing spinner wheels
- Carbon fiber trim with gunmetal hardware
Who it's for
Fits travelers checking one large bag for a week plus trip who want a softside case that expands. Not a match for anyone flying carry on only, since 28 inches is a checked size.
Pros and cons
- Expandable main compartment adds packing room
- Four spinner wheels roll in any direction
- Ergonomic, adjustable telescoping handle grip
- Softside build offers less impact protection than hardshell
- No listed weight or interior pocket layout
- 28 inch size is checked only, not carry on
Performance notes
Four spinner wheels let the case roll upright and turn in any direction rather than tipping onto two wheels, and the expandable panel adds capacity when packing gets tight on the way home. The telescoping handle's carbon fiber texture grip is built to adjust to different hand sizes and heights.
