Overview
Fiberglass construction forms the O'Brien Performer, a combo ski designed to be easy to get up on while carrying features usually found on higher performance slalom skis. The description pairs it with Z-8 bindings that lace up for a secure fit.
A family with both slalom and combo skiers can use one pair to share, or a slalom skier can keep a combo pair for guests. The limitation is that the listing does not give a rider weight limit.
Who it's for
Intermediate adult skiers who want an easy start and the option to move toward slalom skiing. Beginners needing a weight chart, or experts wanting a dedicated slalom ski, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Easy to get up on
- Slalom style features
- Adjustable lace bindings
- Rider weight limit not listed
- Intermediate level only
- Bindings detailed in description only
Performance notes
Wide, forgiving combo shapes help skiers rise out of the water, while the slalom-style features add control once up. The Z-8 laces let the foot fit tighter, and a padded footbed adds comfort.
