Overview
The Abu Garcia Ambassadeur C3 6500 is a round baitcasting reel built on an aluminum frame, finished in a grey and orange custom color scheme with matching graphics. The 6500 size sits in the mid to heavy range Abu Garcia baitcasting anglers reach for.
Despite the listing title describing it as a spinning reel, the spec sheet lists baitcasting as the technique, matching the round-reel body style the C3 6500 line uses and the CATSPC naming that points to a catfish-oriented edition. Treat this as a baitcasting reel, not a spinning reel.
- Aluminum body
- 6500 reel size
- Grey/orange custom finish
- Single reel, no combo
Who it's for
Suits anglers who already fish conventional baitcasting tackle and want a heavier reel sized for catfish or other stout freshwater targets. Not a fit for anyone shopping specifically for a spinning reel, despite the listing title.
Pros and cons
- Aluminum frame construction
- Distinct grey/orange custom color and graphics
- 6500 size suited to heavier freshwater fishing
- Listing title says spinning reel while the spec sheet says baitcasting, so confirm before buying
- No seller description or dimensions provided
Performance notes
An aluminum frame on a 6500-size body puts this toward the heavier end of freshwater baitcasting reels, the size Abu Garcia typically pairs with catfish and other larger-bodied fish rather than finesse casting.
