Overview
The Klipsch RP-1200SW is a floor standing subwoofer with a 12 inch driver and an 800 watt power rating. It offers both wireless and RCA connection options and weighs just over 31 pounds.
Unlike a purely wired subwoofer, the RP-1200SW lists wireless as a connection option alongside RCA, giving it more placement freedom since it does not strictly need a cable run back to the receiver. At roughly 26 by 17 by 19 inches it is sized as a dedicated floor unit rather than a compact add on.
- 12 inch driver
- 800 watt power rating
- Wireless plus RCA connectivity
- Floor standing design
Who it's for
Suits a home theater owner who wants Klipsch bass performance with the flexibility of wireless placement, avoiding a long RCA cable run. Less relevant for anyone who only needs a small, budget level subwoofer.
Pros and cons
- Wireless and RCA connection options
- 12 inch driver with 800 watt rating
- Floor standing Klipsch build
- 31.3 pounds, a floor standing footprint
- Not a compact or bookshelf design
Performance notes
The 12 inch driver and 800 watt rating are built for floor standing bass output, and the wireless connection option removes the need to run an RCA cable to every placement spot in the room. RCA remains available as a wired alternative.
