Overview
Not a stand-up board, the O'Brien Radica is a towable kneeboard with a beveled edge and cupped quad molded fins. An Aquatic Hook simplifies deep-water starts, and the plastic body is listed for youth riders.
The reason to buy is the learning design: stability to build confidence and a hook that removes much of the frustration of getting up. The limitation is that the listing is brief, with no rider weight limit given.
Who it's for
A family with a young rider learning on a boat tow who wants a stable, forgiving shape. Older riders and anyone needing a stated weight limit should choose a different board.
Pros and cons
- Beveled edge for stability
- Quad molded fins
- Hook eases deep-water starts
- Rider weight limit not listed
- Accessories not confirmed
Performance notes
A beveled edge and cupped fins resist sliding sideways, which steadies a new rider. The hook gives the rope a path that helps a child rise from deep water without struggling.
