Overview
A disc drive reads Blu-ray discs and sends the picture out at Full HD resolution, with HDMI, USB and RCA ports on the back for hooking up a TV or an older amplifier. The black chassis is built around that drive and the output board.
Playback here is straightforward: load a disc, pick the input on the TV, and the player handles the rest at Full HD. The listed weight is the one thing to check first, since it affects shelf choice and moving day.
Who it's for
A living room or den with a TV that has a spare HDMI input and a shelf that can take real weight. Skip it if the plan is to stream from the player itself, since no apps are listed.
Pros and cons
- Plays Blu-ray discs
- Full HD output resolution
- HDMI, USB and RCA connections
- Listed weight is very heavy
- No streaming apps listed
- Disc formats beyond Blu-ray not listed
- No HDR format listed
Performance notes
Picture quality comes down to the drive and the output board: the player reads the disc and passes a Full HD signal over the cable you choose. HDMI carries the cleanest path, while RCA suits older gear.
