Overview
A quad-core processor drives this MSI RadiX gaming router, sorting traffic with AI QoS so games and calls jump ahead of downloads. A third band in the six gigahertz range gives newer devices a cleaner lane.
The extra six gigahertz band and automatic prioritizing keep gaming steady when the house is busy. Only one fast wired port is listed, which limits wired multi-gig devices.
Who it's for
Players streaming and gaming in a busy household will use the AI QoS and the six gigahertz band. People wiring several PCs and a NAS should look for more ports.
Pros and cons
- Tri-band including six gigahertz
- AI traffic prioritizing
- RGB sync with MSI gear
- Few wired ports listed
- Older devices cannot use the newest band
- Coverage area not stated
Performance notes
Latency control comes from AI QoS, which prioritizes packets by activity so a download does not lag a game. The six gigahertz band gives compatible devices more open channels than crowded older bands. Range still depends on walls and distance.
