Overview
Folding open for yard work and collapsing for storage, the AMES folding wheelbarrow pairs a steel frame with a canvas tub on a single wheel. Load leaves, mulch or soil, roll it where needed, then fold it and hang it on a wall or closet hook.
Storage is the reason to own it: the frame folds and hangs out of the way, and the cart is light to carry. The fabric tub and modest load rating limit it to bulky, light material such as leaves and mulch.
Who it's for
Small yards and garages with no floor space for a rigid barrow suit this folding cart. People who haul masonry or dense soil need a steel or poly tray barrow with a higher load rating.
Pros and cons
- Folds for wall or hook storage
- Light to lift and carry
- Canvas tub swallows bulky leaves
- Steel frame and steel handles
- Low maximum load rating
- Single wheel needs steady balancing
- Tub volume in cubic feet not listed
- Fabric tub unsuited to wet concrete
Performance notes
Load and balance govern how it handles: a single front wheel means the user steadies the load through the handles while the steel frame carries it. The canvas tub flexes around loose, bulky material, so light leaves and mulch suit it better than dense loads.

Frequently asked questions
Can the AMES folding wheelbarrow carry wet soil or gravel?
Only small amounts. The listed maximum is 50 pounds, so dense material reaches that limit quickly; leaves, mulch and garden supplies are its listed uses.
How do you store the AMES folding wheelbarrow?
Fold it after use and hang it on a wall or a closet hook; the design is made to hang.
Is the AMES folding wheelbarrow tub canvas or plastic?
The description calls it a canvas wheelbarrow, and the materials are listed as alloy steel and PVC.
Do third-party parts affect the AMES warranty?
Yes. Combining AMES products with third party components or products voids the manufacturer warranty, and claims need proof of purchase.
