Overview
Cinching down a motorcycle, ATV, UTV or mower is what these orange straps are made for. A retractable ratchet winds in the slack, and S-hooks with a safety lock grab the tie-down points.
The listing is honest about both ratings, with a lower working load next to the higher break strength. The straps fit light to mid-weight loads on trailers, trucks and carts, and the thirty day warranty is brief.
Who it's for
Owners of motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs and lawn equipment who tie loads down on trucks, trailers and golf carts. Heavy machinery needs wider, higher-rated straps.
Pros and cons
- Retractable ratchet takes up slack
- Working load and break strength both stated
- Two straps per pack
- Orange for visibility
- Working load is modest
- S-hooks need suitable tie-down points
- Hook dimensions not listed
Performance notes
The retractable ratchet winds in extra webbing and then tensions it, which cuts down loose strap flapping on the road. The working load, not the break strength, is the number to size the straps by, and the S-hook safety lock stops the hook from lifting out when the strap goes slack.
