Overview
A cold living room or a drafty reading chair is where this Snuggie heated wrap earns its place. It drapes over the shoulders like a shawl, pairing sherpa with polyester fabric and built-in heat for warmth while you read.
Wearing heat around the shoulders lets you move your arms and hold a book or remote, which a flat throw does not allow. Heat controls are the gap: the listing does not spell out the number of settings, the timer or the cord length.
Who it's for
People who feel the cold in the evenings and like to stay wrapped up on the couch get warmth they can wear. Those who want a bed-sized electric blanket or need detailed safety specs on paper should keep looking.
Pros and cons
- Wearable shawl shape frees your hands
- Soft sherpa material
- Heavyweight warmth rating
- Large enough for shoulders and lap
- Heat settings and timer not detailed
- Not water resistant
- Shawl shape covers less than a blanket
Performance notes
Warmth comes from the heating in the wrap plus the insulating sherpa layer, which holds heat close to the shoulders and back. Because the listing does not state the heat levels, how warm it runs and how fast it warms up cannot be judged from the page.
