Overview
A thick, matte white marble-look contact paper for covering countertops, cabinets and backsplashes without replacing them. Sold as a 15.8 by 80 inch self-adhesive roll covering about 8.77 square feet.
The backing has small grooves designed to let air escape during application, aimed at reducing the bubbling that is common with flat-backed contact paper. Grid lines on the back help with measuring and cutting, and the vinyl is described as oil, stain and heat resistant.
- 15.8 x 80 inch self-adhesive roll
- Bubble-reducing grooved backing
- Oil and heat resistant matte finish
- Grid-lined back for easy cutting
Who it's for
Renters and DIY homeowners refreshing a smooth countertop or cabinet surface on a budget. Not suited to textured, uneven or heavily worn surfaces, which the material is not designed to bond to.
Pros and cons
- Grooved backing designed to reduce bubbles on application
- Grid lines on the back for measuring and cutting
- Oil and stain resistant, wipes clean with a damp cloth
- Removable without leaving residue, per the listing
- Only smooth, flat surfaces are suitable
- One roll covers under 9 square feet, so larger counters need multiple rolls
Performance notes
The grooved backing is meant to channel out trapped air as you smooth the sheet down, rather than relying on technique alone to avoid bubbles. Heat from a hairdryer softens the adhesive for repositioning or removal later.
