Overview
Jazz clubs and small combo rooms suit this Vic Firth Terra stick, thinner and slightly shorter than the all-around size, for agility and finesse. A nylon teardrop tip adds definition on cymbals, and the stain highlights the hickory grain.
Smaller dimensions let the hands move quickly at lower volumes, a good match for brushes-to-sticks gigs. Heavy hitters will find them too light.
Who it's for
Drummers playing quiet rooms, jazz trios and acoustic sets. Hard hitters should step up to thicker sizes.
Pros and cons
- Light for speed
- Nylon tip clarity
- Too light for loud styles
- Diameter not stated
- Material row says metal
Performance notes
Less mass means quicker strokes and softer natural volume, which governs how they sit in a small group. The nylon tip holds cymbal articulation crisp even at low dynamics.
