Overview
A dinner table, picnic spread or gift basket gets this Puffin Resort Robe, a polyester sleeve with an insulated liner and a non-slip base. It is sized for a standard wine or champagne bottle.
Slipping on a sleeve to hold an already cold bottle is the reason to look at it, and the sandy white color suits outdoor tables. The limitation is scope: it is for a single standard bottle, and the listing gives no weight or dimensions.
Who it's for
Wine drinkers heading to a picnic, patio or beach who want a bottle to stay cold through a long meal. It also works as a presentable gift cover. Anyone who needs to chill a warm bottle fast should use a chiller with ice.
Pros and cons
- Insulated liner holds temperature
- Fits 750 ml bottles
- Light polyester shell
- Sandy white color
- One bottle size only
- Dimensions not listed
- Weight not listed
- Does not chill a warm bottle
Performance notes
The double walled insulation slows the transfer of warmth from the air to the bottle, so a bottle that starts cold stays that way for hours. The non-slip base stops the sleeve sliding on a table. It slows warming rather than lowering the temperature.
